CounterUASWorld Summary

Czech defense company KBP International has unveiled the Gryf tactical counter-UAS drone carrier, a long-endurance platform designed to carry and launch airborne interceptors and lightweight missiles against aerial threats. Unlike single-use interceptors, Gryf can remain on station and conduct multiple engagements during a single mission, providing persistent air defense coverage without requiring ground relaunches. The UAV features a 6.4-meter wingspan, a 50 kg payload capacity, a 12-hour endurance, and an operational range of up to 500 km. Introduced at the Future Forces Forum in Prague, the system is intended to address growing demand for cost-effective protection against one-way attack drones, loitering munitions, and other unmanned threats. The concept reflects increasing interest in airborne counter-drone solutions capable of sustaining extended patrols and supporting layered air defense architectures.
