CounterUASWorld Summary
Drone Shield 2026, an international military experimentation exercise held in the Czech Republic, is bringing together armed forces, NATO representatives, and industry partners to evaluate emerging counter-UAS and unmanned system technologies under realistic operational conditions. The event includes 49 companies focused on counter-drone solutions, 24 firms testing unmanned ground systems, and more than 1,000 participants. A key focus is layered counter-UAS defense, covering the full kill chain from passive protection and drone detection to identification, tracking, and neutralization. Technologies under evaluation include radar, radio-frequency, electronic warfare and acoustic sensors, as well as electromagnetic countermeasures and interceptor drones designed to engage hostile UAVs. The exercise also incorporates FPV drones and concepts derived from lessons learned in recent conflicts.
