IAI Unveils HawkGuard Kinetic Counter-Drone System

Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) has unveiled HawkGuard, a new active protection system adding a kinetic interception layer to its multi-layered counter-UAS architecture. Recently tested against a range of drones and other aerial threats, HawkGuard combines radar and electro-optical sensors with AI-enabled command and control and interceptor drones that neutralize targets through direct impact, without an explosive warhead. This approach aims to reduce blast effects and collateral damage. Its compact, modular design supports deployment on armored and other mobile platforms, as well as at fixed installations, strategic infrastructure and offshore assets. HawkGuard complements IAI’s broader architecture, which integrates detection, identification, command and control, electronic warfare and interception capabilities.
