KONGSBERG to Build Counter-Drone Production Facility in Poland

KONGSBERG has announced plans to establish a new manufacturing and sustainment facility in Poland dedicated to its Counter-Unmanned Aerial Systems (C-UAS) solutions. The €45 million investment will support production for Poland’s SAN counter-drone program and strengthen KONGSBERG’s ability to meet growing European demand for drone defense capabilities. Located in the Pomeranian region, the facility is expected to create more than 100 long-term jobs and become part of KONGSBERG’s global manufacturing network. Construction is scheduled to begin after the signing of a construction contract later this year, with serial production targeted for the first half of 2028. The project further expands KONGSBERG’s industrial presence in Poland and supports the delivery of counter-drone systems contracted by the Polish Armaments Agency earlier this year.
