KONGSBERG has signed a contract with Oshkosh Defense Europe to supply PROTECTOR RS4 Remote Weapon Stations equipped with its PROTECTOR Counter-UAS capability for the Royal Netherlands Armed Forces. The systems will be integrated onto Oshkosh Joint Light Tactical Vehicles (JLTVs), enhancing the Netherlands’ ability to detect, track, identify, and defeat drone threats. The combat-proven PROTECTOR RS4, already in service with 31 nations, combines advanced sensors, targeting data, and effectors to counter both individual drones and more complex aerial threats. The agreement strengthens NATO’s counter-drone capabilities while reinforcing the long-standing partnership between KONGSBERG and Oshkosh Defense. By combining the JLTV’s mobility and survivability with KONGSBERG’s scalable Counter-UAS solution, the program will improve force protection and operational effectiveness against evolving airborne threats.
