Tactien Launches CAST for Independent Counter-UAS Testing

CounterUASWorld Summary

The Tactien Group has introduced CAST™ (Counter-UXS Assessment and System Testing), a new analytical platform designed to independently evaluate and validate counter-UAS systems in realistic operational environments. Developed from the company’s counter-drone advisory work, CAST enables analysts to plan, execute, and score C-UAS assessments using standardized performance metrics. The platform combines site mapping, threat analysis, GIS data, flight telemetry, and 3D event replay to measure detection, tracking, and classification performance across different systems. Tactien’s vendor-neutral approach includes blind red-team flight tests, allowing technologies to be assessed under realistic conditions without prior knowledge of test scenarios. The company says CAST provides operators and critical infrastructure owners with objective, evidence-based data to support counter-drone procurement, validation, and deployment decisions.
