CounterUASWorld Summary

Teledyne FLIR Defense has introduced the Ranger® R10-3DX, a compact mid-range radar designed for counter-UAS, force protection, border security, airport security, and critical infrastructure defense missions. The radar uses advanced digital beam-forming technology to provide continuous wide-area surveillance while maintaining a low size, weight, and power footprint. It can detect micro-drones at ranges beyond 3 km, pedestrians beyond 6 km, and light vehicles at more than 12 km. Featuring AI-based target classification, the system can distinguish between drones, aircraft, birds, pedestrians, and vehicles, helping operators make faster decisions and respond to complex incursions or drone swarms. Available in configurations offering up to 360-degree coverage, the Ranger R10-3DX is designed for both fixed and mobile deployments and can be integrated with EO/IR sensors and mitigation systems as part of a layered counter-drone defense architecture.
